In my practice, I have found that more couples are seeking more spirituality than theory (schools of thought) in addressing their marital issues. Counselors (specifically marriage and family therapists) are having a difficult time acquiring employment under the same title. Many are working under the titles of Caseworker, Social Work Assistant, or some obscure title. Where are the job opportunities here in New York City where MFTs can find employment and accrue hours toward their NYS licensure?
