OBJECTIVES
To pay attention to each client hair, how to service it for repair and growth; help the client to understand the importance of their hair and to embrace it as it represents their purpose. To research for manufacturing from herbs the products that will be used to help in repairing and growth of hair, and to encourage each client to change their diet.

MILESTONES
From an early age I began to administer hair care to my friends and family members. When I migrated to the United States of America I continued to care for the hair of my family and friends. One day after I had cared for a friend’s hair who was a cosmetologist, she showed off the hair style to her boss. Her boss who was impressed by my skills contacted me and offered me a job at her beauty salon which I accepted. From that moment until now I have worked in the field of my passion. I have also attended seminars and training for hair care. I recently applied to school to further develop my skills, and I research different herbs that can be used to help in hair care and repair. I am also receiving consultancy and mentorship at The Kenneth Walley Institute weekly.

STRENGTHS
Capitalizing on the fact that most of my competitors treat their employees with little or no respect, we focus on human resource development ensuring that employees are treated as valued clients. Our company also offers an apprenticeship program to help people who have the same passion.
WEAKNESS
Our competitor is more dominant in that they do many contributions to charities such as Food for Africa, and Breast Cancer research which gives them a notably market presence.
OPPORTUNITIES
NYC’s development of a better water supply helps in preventing hair damage and creating better products, for each hair type. There is also micro financing available to help in the building of our businesses that will also create more job opportunities.
THREATS
Because of the economic crisis many people lean towards cosmetology even when they are unskilled, and is not aware of the proper use of products.
Wigs are created and are easy to use and sometimes cheaper for people to use which is not good for the hair as it damages the hair.
The fees for additional education are very high and sometimes unaffordable when you want gain more knowledge of newer developments.
