VISION
Meeting the community need for childcare services that help children develop and reinforce many educational skills from literacy to science by introducing computers at an early age.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of The Right Start is to promote superior motor, numerical and literary skills. Incorporating computers into early years settings in a constructive, enjoyable way will therefore make children\\\\\\\'s learning more meaningful and relevant to their everyday lives, as well as giving them a secure foundation upon which they can build at primary school. Laptops will be used instead of desktop computers because they are easier to integrate into the school curriculum. With balanced learning children won\\\\\\\'t have to leave what they are doing and head to computer area. Parents are also a central part of the children learning experience. Our weekend programs are design to provide numerous projects and materials to help parents use technology effectively with children.
OBJECTIVES
Computers are used to enhance what the children learned in class by using interactive learning games, sing-a-longs and word play. Computers will help increase their logic, reasoning, and problem solving abilities. Increase the number of families participating in classes by 50% during the second year of operation by starting a parent computer training class. Introducing the Bible to preschoolers.
VALUES
We values people: the children in our care, their families, and our educators. Our goal is to make childhood a wonderful and rich experience for every child who enters our doors. We guide with love and understanding because one of the most important gifts we can give a child is the gift of a healthy self-esteem. We respect each child, nurture their spirit, and embrace every culture so that every child feels included.
MILESTONES
The Right Start is focused primarily on equipment, play surfaces, and materials needed for classes. The Right Start has received used computers from local businesses. All equipment is easily accessible to young children.
