The gift of music is a family heritage that is evident in most of my siblings. Though he was not a practicing musician, my dad was always writing new songs and always engaged me and my siblings during his compositions. It was during my junior high school years that I begun writing songs. I released a first album in the nineties in which my sister Dr. Belinda Shalders was the lead voice, and it featured the songs ‘Agape Love’, ‘Say Not’, ‘Almighty God’, ‘I acknowledge’ and ‘I am healed’.
The Emmanuel album is a selection of some of the songs I wrote as well as co-authored with my daughter Adelph Walley. She is the lead voice in all the songs on the album. Ten songs are featured on the album including ‘You Are Almighty’, ‘Dominion In The Secret Place’. ‘My Grace’, ‘Tie Me Up’, ‘To The Upright’, ‘Sound Of Jubilee’, ‘Emmanuel’, ‘There Is A River’, ‘Your Throne O God Is Exalted’, and ‘Rend The Heavens’. Eugene Amedume has been key to the development of the instrumentation of the music. The production was managed by JMichael Smith CEO of The Sound Factory NJ.
Our intention for the gospel music group ‘Synergy’ is to release divinely inspired songs that usher in the divine presence. Music was designed to give us access to the throne room where we can experience divine encounters that heal, deliver and foster miracles.
