REGAINING HONOR THROUGH YOUR HAIR – By Sonya Walker

Post Type: ARTICLES

When it comes to beauty and our physical image, most experts believe the hair is definitely the most important aspect. As a cosmetologist, hair has always been one of my passions.  I enjoy taking care of people’s hair because it relaxes me but then in doing so I tend to ignore caring for my own hair.  Recently, I was encouraged by my mentor to write about my passion, which is, hair.  In researching this for this assignment, it made me realize that developing my personal beauty and image should be considered one of the most important skills in developing my craft.  Hair represents honor and enhances your beauty. For you to maintain healthy hair, it is very important to understand that most of the work will be in your own hands.

First of all, what you eat is very important to hair growth. The hair stems from our blood. You must be health conscious and eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Also, you must drink a lot of water daily and avoid the consummation of junk food.  Good nutritional habits promote healthy hair growth.

Secondly, hair growth is also enhanced by healthy scalp. This is developed and maintained by cleansing and moisturizing with oils from natural products.  It is important to read the contents of hair products you purchase in the market. Products that are developed from organic materials have the potential of healing and maintain the scalp.

Thirdly, most people suffer from the effects of having hair that is overly exposed to chemical treatment. For instance people with perm hair, permanent colors and bleached hairs have to refrain from too much heat and excessive oils that can be more harmful than good. Also, blow drying is not advisable as it causes excessive breakage over time.

Some experts encourage hair weaving and hair extensions as two of the solutions in giving stressed hair and chemical damaged hair a rest.  These two techniques generally promote hair growth and enhance beauty However, it is not advisable to keep these in for more than 6-8 weeks as is the practice with most people. Prolonged weaves and braids could cause your natural hair to become matted from the lack of proper maintenance and care.

In summation, to encourage healthy hair growth is to love and care for the hair you wear. When the hair is well-maintained, you will be able to step out in confidence, knowing that the world is a stage and you are the moving star that will never be out shined.

Blood is where most medical clinican starts, a lot can be learned about our hair, skin and nails, oftnetimes samples are taken just with a snip of one’s hair to analyze any issues going on with the body.In recent months a friend of mine told me that she visited a physician who specializes in treating hair that has lost its vitality, and she said she was given a battery of test to determine what was the cause, and because she had other contributing factors the first thing that they did was a blood test, then sampling of her hair. she was given a regiment to use to ensure that her body, blood and organs will work together. with the different issues in the environmant, and in our lives those have to be taken into consideration as well. Eating right should be one of the first line of defence for your body, learning how to care for ourselves so that our hair, skin and other organs will work effectively. As we move to improve our lives I agree nutrition is at the top of my list, what I put into my body will determine what comes out. Good information on the blood Sonya.
